Murasaki Mura
1020-1 Aza Takashiro, Yomitan Village
Murasaki Mura is a replica of an old Okinawan village. The village has two restaurants, Tai Ki and Jana Tei, serving both Okinawan and Japanese cuisine in tatami rooms. You can also experience the production of various items including brown sugar from sugarcane, shisa and other pottery, your own sanshin and custom candles with sea shells, Ryukyu glass and bingata (a surface-dyed textile). There is a separate fee for each activity, ranging from ¥500 for bingata to ¥2,000 for shisa faces and other large pottery pieces. |
