This park has the greatest number of orchids in all Japan. Horticulturists nurture the young orchids in the park's greenhouses and then transplant them around the grounds. Other plants and trees, including pines, pineapples, ferns and a wide variety of flowers, are also grown here. Throughout BIOS one can find trees shaped into dragons and scrolls. Also, of the 57 species of butterflies on Okinawa, 51 have been spotted on BIOS grounds. |
