Okinawa World
1336 Maekawa, Tamagusuku Village
The main attraction of Okinawa World is a five-kilometer-long underground cavern, the second longest in Japan, of which 890 meters is open to the public. It's amazing to see the stalactites and stalagmites sculpted by Mother Nature into beautiful works of art. Exhibits on display are Ryukyu glassblowing and a pottery kiln, bingata production and eisa dancing, which is performed daily at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm. If you're feeling daring, you can also have your picture taken with a python wrapped around your shoulders. |
