Some of the final clashes of the Battle of Okinawa took place here. Many Japanese soldiers and Okinawans committed suicide during the engagements by jumping off the cliff. |

| Directions:
| From Naha Airport take Highway 58 south. Follow signs for Route 331 by taking a right towards Itoman. Veer right towards Nashiro Beach. Take a right at Kohagura intersection onto Route 3. You’ll see the sign for Cape Kyan. Turn right at the sign (even though the sign points to the left) and turn right when you see the water hoses to your left. Next, you’ll see an old gravestone. Continue straight ahead down the paved road with telephone lines. Follow the white signs with the arrows pointing straight 800m. Turn right and follow the paved road.
