Naha Tsuboya Ceramic Museum
1-9-32 Tsuboya, Naha City
Tsuboya played a vital role in the development of Okinawan pottery. This museum displays many examples of the earthenware, tools and instruments used in Okinawan life. A theater shows stories of Tsuboya and its craftsman. Also on display in this museum are the remains of the Wakuta kiln.
An exhibition room is open to the public as well as a “loaner” gallery. If you have artwork you would like to share with the community, this gallery would be perfect. The cost of the room is ¥13,500 when admission is charged or ¥4,500 when no admission fee is charged. |
